Making It

- Text is the hard part again. Fresh blade, and check the smallest lettering is above 1.5 mm stroke width.
- Use a neutral or single-colour stock. Institution colours are tempting and usually make the piece look like merchandise.
- Keep to five or six layers. The subject motif needs room to read clearly behind the text.
- If you have the real tassel, do not depict it - mount the actual one in the frame alongside the paper stack. Deeper frame needed, much better object.
